TS Tech Alabama, LLC.
Suspended Production 4/13/20 - 5/1/20

TS Tech Associates,

The economic fallout and government restrictions stemming from the unprecedented coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic are continuing to affect TS Tech, our customers, and the entire automotive industry. We learned very recently that our largest customer, Honda intends to suspend production at its North American facilities until May 1 and have announced an expected return to work on May 4. Given this extended uncertainty TS Tech is unfortunately announcing some associates will be furloughed beginning April 13, 2020 through May 1, 2020. At this point, the planned return to work date for all of our associate is May 4, 2020. We are communicating with our customers daily to monitor their status so we may be prepared to resume operations as soon as possible.

Each of you are still valued TS Tech associates and this furlough does nothing to change that. We hope and expect that each of you will be returning to TS Tech soon. During this furlough, TS Tech will maintain insurance benefits for all associates that elected coverage under TS Tech’s plan and will deduct the premium balance upon your return to work (normal premium deduction x 2). With this significant change, you are entitled to discontinue your insurance coverage if you choose. We strongly encourage you to maintain your coverage, but if you wish to discontinue it please do so through the MyADP interface by selecting “Associate gains other coverage” as the qualifying event.

Most of you will be eligible to receive unemployment benefits during this period, and TS Tech will do everything it can to make that process as smooth and fast as possible. Please visit your MyADP account for more information on applying for unemployment. If you do not have access to MyADP, or if you have other questions about unemployment, please contact your Human Resources Manager who will help walk you through this process. The recent passage of the CARES Act in the U.S. should provide an additional $600 per week to associates eligible for unemployment and many will also receive up to $1,200 in one-time checks. The hope is that these increased benefits, when combined with state unemployment, will help our associates get through these difficult times.

TS Tech will be updating the hotline (614-412-5702) as more information becomes available so please continue to call and check the status. We wish you all health and safety and are hoping to return to normal soon.
